Service Description

EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) is a powerful, simple and free tool for self-healing. Also called 'tapping' because you use your fingertips to lightly tap on your face and torso, EFT combines ancient Chinese medicine's knowledge of acupuncture points and energy channels, or meridians, in our body with traditional Western psychotherapy, or 'talk therapy'. The practice consists of tapping your fingertips on nine specific meridian points while talking through your thoughts, memories, emotions and physical or emotional pain. By talking about the issue while tapping on our meridian points, we are basically rewiring how the brain responds to the issue in question and releasing any unprocessed emotions or trauma associated with the issue. This is why EFT can treat conditions that often can’t be resolved successfully with psychotherapy alone. After just a few rounds of tapping, people often report feeling lighter and calmer and able to breathe more easily – almost as if they now have more space inside. They may report that their thinking has changed, they have gained new insights or that they are feeling better, overall.
