A Bit About Trish

Trish has worked in the health and wellbeing industry for nearly 30 years. She started out teaching aerobics in the late 80s and has fond memories of packed classes of Lycra-clad folk jumping around to some awesome music.

Thankfully the fitness fashions and trends evolved – although she still love a good old fashioned aerobics class. 

Trish had dabbled with yoga over the years but struggled to find a class she liked so she gave it up as 'not for me' but injuries forced her to revisit it about 15 years ago and she eventually found a class she loved – Power Yoga.

A class that worked her hard and presented plenty of challenges – which is part of what she has always loved about fitness.

Now more interested, Trish decided to do the British Wheel of Yoga Foundation Course in Yoga – which was a wonderful year of regular Sunday workshops with a teacher who introduced her to a more restorative practice and meditation. This was something she really struggled with initially as she didn’t really do calm and slow! However she soon realised the benefits it could bring and ended up really looking forward to those Sundays. Not long after that, she took the plunge and qualified as a Yoga Instructor and has been having great fun sharing her passion for yoga ever since. 

Yoga and Fitness qualifications: Gym Instructor, fitness assessment, step, post & ante natal, exercise for the older adult, indoor cycling, Pilates, Les Mills Body Balance and yoga (Yoga Professionals (in association with YMCA Fitness Industry Training) level 3 Diploma in Yoga – a 500 hour qualification.

2016 Hot Yoga - intensive - how to teach yoga / implications of heat / sequencing etc;

2016 - Strala Yoga Intensive with Tara Styles and Mike Taylor

2018 Yoga Adjustments - intensive with Norman Blair and Melanie Cooper

2019 Yin Yoga with Norman Blair - a week of immersing in Yin teacher training with one of the best!

2019 - Move like water - a two day teacher training with Dan Peppiatt

2020 - Moving with Love - an intensive with Meghan Currie 

2020 - Yin Yoga Archetypes Workshop with Paul Grilley

2020 - Move from the heart - Amy Ippoliti of 90 Monkeys Yoga - a 4 day training focusing on an Anusara approach 

2020 - Yoga Philosophy - Amy Ippoliti of 90 Monkeys Yoga 

2020 - Yoga and journaling with Ash Bond 

2020 - became a senior instructor with Yoga Alliance Professionals and started work on developing a 200hr Yoga Teacher Training Course to deliver through the YMCA Brunel Group.
